About the PI

Tom Sasani (he/him) is an incoming Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics at the University of Georgia.

Tom received a B.A. from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI and a Ph.D in Human Genetics from the University of Utah under the supervision of Aaron Quinlan. He did postdoctoral work with Kelley Harris at the University of Washington, and was a Senior Data Scientist at Recursion Pharmaceuticals until 2022. Currently (until 2027), he is a research scientist in Aaron Quinlan’s group.
